Aliza Jankowsky, the winner of the NC SAR Rumbaugh Oration Competition, has placed third in the National Competition. Our second day of Honoring the 12 Patriots buried at Old St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Newton NC on Saturday, May 21, 2022. It was very hot, many people from SAR and DAR, family menbers of the Patriots and church members turned out for the celebration. It was a fabulous day for everyone.
Catawba Valley Chapter began it’s three day grave marking service on Friday afternoon, May 20th 2022.
All SAR members are invited to attend the North Carolina SAR 2020 Winter BOM immediately following the Cowan’s Ford Celebration. A catered lunch and meeting book costs $25 per person. Please RSVP today!

Veterans Park in Roanoke Rapids was the site of a recent joint flag retirement ceremony sponsored by Boy Scout Troop 144, the Alamance Battleground and the Halifax Resolves Chapters North Carolina Sons of the American Revolution.
