Catawba Valley Chapter was able to honor from a distance Cadet James Bevel at Lincolnton High School on April 29th, 2021 at their Annual Awards Program. The Bronze JROTC Medal and Certificate were presented by Lt Col Robin Sites, USAF (Ret), as only staff and parents were allowed to attend.

Catawba Valley Chapter continues their Patriots activities with members Chris Stone and Roy Lightfoot, joined by Fran Goins, past Regent of Jacob Forney DAR, Stephen McKee, past president of Meckleburg SAR and our current Regional VP along with his two children. A wonderful day was had even through the rain.
Catawba Valley Chapter began their week-long celebration of Patriot’s Day by beginning placing flags on Patriot’s Graved at Old St Paul’s in Newton. With COVID Broken Shoulders and many cemeteries to get to, a week may not be enough time. HAZZAH
