On Saturday morning, 11 October, members from the Richard Dobbs Spaight Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the New Bern Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), hosted a booth at the New Bern Farmer’s Market.  The purpose of the having a booth at the Market was to promote the upcoming Constitution Week in New Bern and the associated local activities to follow.  In addition, members did a bit of recruiting, as well as educating the community as to the missions of both organizations.  Gary Gillette and Lee Purcell (New Bern SAR Chapter members) and Tammy Gillette (RDS DAR Chapter member) were all dress in their best Colonial/Revolutionary attire, which was a big hit with the folks visiting the morning Market.
