This grave marking is being done in conjunction with the Rowan Museum Germanfest and the Brown-Fisher Association Annual Meeting on the grounds of the Old Stone House. Germanfest is a two-day event beginning Saturday at 9:30 am and portrays a German settlement of the 1770’s with crafts, food and demonstrations by period attired docents including woodworking and textiles. The Brown-Fisher Association business meeting will be held at Noon with the grave marking commencing at the end of this meeting (approximately 1 pm). This grave marking is a family event with the public invited to attend.
The North Carolina Society, SAR cordially invites you to attend our 2023 Summer Board of Manager’s Meeting to be held Saturday, September 30th at the North Carolina State University Club, 4200 Hillsborough St, Raleigh, NC 27606 with the meeting beginning at 11:00AM. A room has been reserved for the Ladies Auxiliary, who will be meeting concurrently with us so please feel free to invite your significant others. The cost for the meal and the facility is $30 per person. Lunch will consist of a deli meat and cheese buffet. We need all attendees (Board of Managers and Ladies Auxiliary) to please RSVP below no later than Monday, September 15th. Dress code for the meeting will be blazer and tie or Colonial/Military/Revolutionary War Uniform. All State Officers, Chapter Presidents, and Committee Chairmen please send your reports to Bob Sigmon at no later than Friday,September 8th. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, September 30th!
