Morganton Festival
The 44th Annual Historic Morganton Festival is scheduled for Friday, September 11, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM and Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM in downtown Morganton, North Carolina. Admission is free, featuring multiple entertainment stages, carnival rides, food vendors, and over a mile of arts and crafts.
The Colonel Alexander Erwin Chapter will be set up inside the Old Courthouse, on the 2nd floor, with displays on Rev War Weapons, Youth Program, a display on “The Battle of Cane Creek“, and an information table about SAR.

2026 Summer Board of Managers Meeting
NORTH CAROLINA SOCIETY, SAR
SUMMER BOARD OF MANAGERS MEETING
WILL BE HELD SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26TH BEGINNING AT 11AM
The North Carolina Society, SAR cordially invites you to attend our 2026 Summer Board of Manager’s Meeting and NCSSAR National Candidates Forum to be held Saturday, September 26th at the Best Western Hotel. 770 Huffman Mill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 with the meeting beginning at 11:00AM. A room has been reserved for the Ladies Auxiliary, who will be meeting concurrently with us so please feel free to invite your significant others. The cost for the meal and the facility is $32 per person. Lunch menu will be a sandwich buffet line with all the trimmings, tea and coffee with cookies, food service by Grill 584 restaurant . We need all attendees (Board of Managers and Ladies Auxiliary) to please RSVP below no later than Friday, September 18th. Dress code for the meeting will be blazer and tie or Colonial/Military/Revolutionary War Uniform. All State Officers, Chapter Presidents, and Committee Chairmen please send your reports to Tony Zeiss no later than Tuesday, September 10th. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, September 26th!
