250th Celebration
of the
Battle of Lexington and ConcordPlease join the Massachusetts Society and New England District for the Commemoration of the Battle of Lexington and Concord, NSSAR’s 2025 250th signature event. This four-day celebration marks the 250th Anniversary of the pivotal events that set our nation on the path to independence — a path the led from Boston through Lexington and Concord. The Sons of the American Revolution invite you to join us in commemorating the heroic actions of Captain John Parker and the Lexington Minutemen, Captain Isaac Davis and the Acton Minutemen, as well as the thousands of minutemen and militia who bravely defended their homes against Crown forces on that historic April morning in 1775.
Registration opens March 1.
TWO LIGHTS
For TomorrowUSATwo Lights for Tomorrow is a nationwide initiative to commence the celebration of the 250th birthday of the United States of America. The famous ride of Paul Revere (and William Dawes and Dr. Samuel Prescott) occurred overnight on April 18 – 19, 1775, warning of the approach of British forces that led to the Battles of Lexington and Concord, and the beginning of the American Revolutionary War. Two Lights for Tomorrow commemorates that famous ride and uses the imagery of that shining light today as a uniting call to action for our fellow citizens, no matter where they are, to commemorate and remind ourselves that our history is about working together for a better tomorrow.
At its heart it is a call across the country, in private homes, local communities, and statehouses alike, for two lights to be displayed to remind us all of the importance to come together to form a more perfect union.
How to Participate
Everyone can participate! All you have to do is display two lights in your homes, at your visitor centers, your cultural, historical, and community sites, and in your government buildings on April 18, 2025, to raise awareness and draw attention to and commemorate the beginning of our constant endeavor as a nation to work together for a better tomorrow.
The State of North Carolina has confirmed its participation. Two Lights for Tomorrow is an official America 250 Event, and SAR has partnered with them. Individually, we can display our patriotism… if you do, send a picture to and be recognized!
