First annual George Washington Birthday Celebration TeaFebruary 20th, 2022
Lincoln Cultural Center, 403 East Main Street, Lincolnton, N.C. 28092
2 o’clock in the afternoon.This will be a DAR and SAR chapter event in commemoration of Washington’s 290th birthday.
One may attend in their best 18th Century finery, or 21st Century attire. Either way will be fine. The most important thing is to attend!We will serve tea (of course), along with hors d’oeuvre (savories, scones, and a sweet) and a speaker.
We will be asking for donations to offset the cost of the function and venue. We hope everyone can attend.

George Washington Birthday Celebration Honoring the Veterans Life CenterThe NC SAR Raleigh Chapter is pleased to invite you to attend the Veterans Day event honoring the Veterans Life Center, Butner, North Carolina, Monday, February 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM. The Raleigh Chapter is inspired and delighted to present John W. Turner, Executive Director, Veterans Life Center (VLC), with a gift of $10,000 and the North Carolina Society, Sons of the American Revolution’s Good Citizen Award and Certificate. The keynote speaker will be NC SAR President Jay A. DeLoach, Rear Admiral, USN, Ret. Executive Director John W. Turner is receiving the gift and awards for his outstanding veteran-community work. “The Veterans Life Center is a residential program designed to help at-risk 21st Century male and female veterans. The mission is to provide each of our residents with the prospect of strengthening their mental fitness and physical health, improving life skills, and providing vocational training and career opportunities.” The Veterans Life Center (VLC) helps 21st-century veterans experiencing difficulties reintegrating into civil society.__________________________________________________________________* The dress code is a blazer with a tie or Continental Army or militia uniform. - 2222.February.Tuesday
