The Lafayette Society and the Sons of the American Revolution, Le Marquis de Lafayette Chapter of Fayetteville, North Carolina will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary on Saturday May 16, 2026, from noon to 1pm, at Lafayette Plaza in Downtown Fayetteville, North Carolina.

There will be proclamations, musket volleys, a remembrance of local Patriots of the American Revolution and a celebration of the anniversary of the naming of Fayetteville, North Carolina in 1783.

The public is cordially invited to attend. 18^th or 19^th century period dress, or modern patriotic attire, is encouraged but not required! There will be refreshments afterwards. The park is directly across from First Presbyterian Church, which is located at 102 Ann Street
