The General Francis Nash Chapter will hold its Joseph S. Rumbaugh Historical Orations Competition on Saturday, March 22nd, from 9:45 AM to 12 Noon at Governors Club in Chapel Hill.

Hear 8 gifted young Orators and be inspired. Following the Competition will be the General Francis Nash Chapter Meeting and SAR Oratory Contest Awards Luncheon, where the winner will be announced and repeat their Oration. The winners of the three Chapters competing, Alamance Battleground, GFN, and Raleigh will then compete in person for the State title, at the NC SAR Annual Meeting on April 5, in Greensboro. That winner will go on to participate in the National SAR Oratory Contest, which concludes at the SAR National Congress in July in Connecticut.
