    American Revolution Patriots to be Remembered

    At 10:00 am, May 21st, 2022 the Catawba Valley Chapter, Sons of the American
    Revolution will host a ceremony honoring twelve Revolutionary War veterans:

    By installing and dedicating a Memorial Stone for these Patriots

    SAR Blue Ridge Chapter Grave Marking

    The Blue Ridge Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, have scheduled a grave marking ceremony to honor Patriot Charles Crawford Lewis. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022. It is being held at the Green Hill Community Center, in Rutherford County, North Carolina. It is located on U.S. Highway 64, just west of Rutherfordton, North Carolina.

    During his two years of service, Patriot Lewis was involved in faithfully protecting the frontier settlements from several attacks by the Cherokee as well as working on the defenses of Charlestown,  South Carolina. Patriot Lewis is buried in a small family cemetery not far from the Green Hills Community Center.

    All compatriots and interested parties are invited to attend this solemn event.
