    246th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Halifax Resolves

    Tuesday, April 12, 2022

    10:30 am

    Market Street

    Historic Halifax, NC

     

    A reception will be held Monday, April 11th at the Hilton Garden Inn, 111 Carolina Crossroads Parkway, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870, at 5:00 pm followed by a Dutch treat dinner at a local restaurant.

    A block of rooms has been reserved for participants at the Hilton Garden Inn at a cost of $96.00/night.  Reservations may be made online with the reservation code of HALRES or by calling the hotel direct at 252-519-2333.  This block of rooms will be released on April 1st.  After that date the rooms will be $129.00/night.

    Participant event check-in will begin at 9:45. am on April 12th.

    Weapons check for Color Guard members will be 10:15 a. m. Late arriving members with weapons will not be allowed to carry weapons in the ceremony.

    The guest speaker will be John Penn, a delegate t0 the Fourth Provincial Congress in Halifax and a delegate to the Second Continental Congress.

     

    A post event luncheon will be held at the Halifax UMC, 152 S. King St., Halifax, NC.  The meals will be $15.00/person, RSVP required.

     

    RSVP’s MUST arrive NLT Wednesday, April 7th in order to be listed in the program and to be included in the meal reservations, if desired.
