    Hosted by the Halifax Resolves Chapter NC SAR and the Elizabeth Montfort-Ashe Chapter NSDAR

    This is a semi-formal event, i.e. coat and tie or Colonial clothing/uniform

    Please join us as we celebrate the life of one of our Founding Fathers

    The Ladies of Halifax UMC will be preparing the meal. 

    Meals will be $15.00 per person paid at the door.

     

    This will require that we receive an RSVP NLT Noon, Monday, February 7th, 2022.

    George Washington Birthday Celebration Honoring the Veterans Life Center
    The NC SAR Raleigh Chapter is pleased to invite you to attend the Veterans Day event honoring the Veterans Life Center, Butner, North Carolina, Monday, February 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM. The Raleigh Chapter is inspired and delighted to present John W. Turner, Executive Director, Veterans Life Center (VLC), with a gift of $10,000 and the North Carolina Society, Sons of the American Revolution’s Good Citizen Award and Certificate.  The keynote speaker will be NC SAR President Jay A. DeLoach, Rear Admiral, USN, Ret.   Executive Director John W. Turner is receiving the gift and awards for his outstanding veteran-community work. “The Veterans Life Center is a residential program designed to help at-risk 21st Century male and female veterans. The mission is to provide each of our residents with the prospect of strengthening their mental fitness and physical health, improving life skills, and providing vocational training and career opportunities.” The Veterans Life Center (VLC) helps 21st-century veterans experiencing difficulties reintegrating into civil society.
