SAR Vigil at George Washington's Tomb
3200 Mount Vernon Memorial Hwy, Mt Vernon, VA 22121, USAHere is the necessary information about the upcoming vigil at George and Martha Washington’s Tomb. This event will be held on 15 September 2018 at Mount Vernon. Like before, we will meet at the Administration (Cunningham) Building at 8:00am and walk down to tomb at 8:30am sharp so that we have the first Color Guard in place at 9:00am.
Remember, NO Muskets, Swords or other weapons are allowed!
The watch will start at 9:00am and change every 15 minutes (30 minutes depending on the weather and number of participants). The last shift will end at 5:30pm if we have sufficient participation. Please consider coming this year and join us.

I will again be asking those who are attending to please give me a time or times that they would like to stand watch at the tomb (Email: ). I will try to make sure that you get the times you request.

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN RE-SCHEDULED TO OCTOBER 20TH DUE TO HURRICANE FLORENCE
A grave marking ceremony for Compatriot Nicholas Bunn Boddie will be held at 10:00 pm Saturday, September 15, 2018. The grave is located in the Boddie Family Cemetery on Rose Hill Plantation, 2815 Rose Hill Lane, Nashville, NC 27856. Compatriot Boddie was a member of the now defunct Rocky Mount Chapter NC SAR.
