At a recent Southern Nash HS AFJROTC awards banquet held at Nash Community College, Halifax Resolves President Ken Wilson presented Cadet Gilberto Arguelles with the SAR JROTC Bronze Medal “in recognition of outstanding leadership qualities, military bearing and excellence, thus exemplifying the high ideals and principles which motivated and sustained our patriot ancestors.”

Ken Wilson, President of the Halifax Resolves Chapter NC SAR, recently attended the Roanoke Rapids City Council meeting to present a Law Enforcement Commendation medal to patrolman Jamie Hardy of the Roanoke Rapids Police Department. The award reflected Hardy’s effort last year to disarm a suicidal man as well as his overall job performance.
