Judge Ken McCotter, one of the longest serving New Bern Chapter members, was awarded a Silver Good Citizenship Medal for his significant leadership contributions in federal, state, and local organizations such as U.S. Magistrate Judge, Past President of the New Bern Historical Society, Craven Community College Foundation Board Member, and New Bern Chamber of Commerce Board Member, to name a few. Compatriot McCotter was also presented with a 35 year Service Pin as a longstanding paid member of the SAR.
