Six members of the New Bern Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution participated in the National Wreath Laying Ceremony for the 243rd Anniversary of the Battle of Moore’s Creek Bridge on Saturday, 23 February 2019 at the Battle of Moore’s Creek National Battlefield Park located at Currie, NC. Those members in attendance were Rolf Maris, Jerry Strickland, Ed Perkins, David Skaggs, Jay DeLoach and Bob Ainsley. Jerry Strickland and Jay DeLoach also participated in the Color Guard.
