Ken Wilson, a member of the Halifax Resolves Chapter NC Sons of the American Revolution, was recently invited to speak to two 8^th grade Social Studies classes at Rocky Mount Academy.  Wilson was dressed as a member of the NC militia as he told the students about the Battle of Kings Mountain and the impact it had on the Southern Campaign of the Revolutionary War.  Following the presentations, Wilson presented Mrs. Debbie Viverette, the 8^th grade Social Studies teacher with educational CD’s/DVD’s provided by the SAR pertaining to the Revolutionary War.
