The Alamance Battleground and Halifax Resolves Chapters NC SAR conducted a joint flag retirement prior to the Patriot’s Day at the battleground. Alamance Battleground Compatriots Dr. Samuel C. Powell and Norman Whitney were joined by Halifax Resolves Compatriot Ken Wilson in the ceremonial retirement of 86 flags.  The ashes were later buried by Compatriot Wilson in an unmarked grave.  Approximately 25 people were in attendance.
