The Huckleberry Swamp 4-H Club and the Halifax Resolves Chapter NC SAR partnered to conduct a U. S. flag retirement ceremony as part of the Harvest Days program in Halifax, NC. The 4-H club wrote the ceremony and along with the SAR conducted the ceremony.   The actual burning of the flags was the responsibility of the Burn Master. Ninety-six flags were retired with honor and the ashes were buried by the Burn Master in an unmarked grave.
