The New Bern Chapter hosted residents and their respective care givers of the North Carolina Veterans Home located in Kinston, NC at the MiLB baseball game between the Down East Wood Ducks and the Columbia Fireflies on Wednesday, 13 July 2022 at Grainger Stadium, Kinston, NC. The residents and care givers were treated to a “Day-at-the-Ballpark” that included the game ticket and all the ballpark food they could eat. It was a great way to recognize our veterans and say “THANK YOU” for their service to our great nation. KUDOS go out to New Bern Chapter members Gary Gillette (for arranging the event) and Paul Higbee and Bob Mull for attending and managing the event. Louise Higbee (Richard Dobbs Spaight Chapter – DAR) attended and supported the event, also.
