Blue Ridge Color Guard at Cowan’s Ford Commemoration

Chartered 21 April in Asheville, North Carolina, later became the Blue Ridge Chapter and is the oldest active Chapter in Western North Carolina.

On January 27, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Huntersville, North Carolina, Blue Ridge Color Guard members Craig Isaacson and Garry Linton participated in the presentation of colors for the commemoration ceremony of the Battle of Cowan’s Ford. Craig Isaacson rendered honors on behalf of Region 5 of the NCSSAR and the Blue Ridge Chapter. Among the 100 people in attendance for this solemn event were Blue Ridge Chapter members John Boyd and Lance Dickinson.

It is easy to see that the Blue Ridge Chapter is an active, energetic, busy Chapter that is always looking for new members to help us reach our challenging goals for the recognition of the sacrifices our Patriots made for us to enjoy all the freedoms we have today.
