Chartered 21 April 1928 in Asheville, North Carolina, and later became the Blue Ridge Chapter, and is the oldest active chapter in Western North Carolina.

The Commemoration of the Battle of Ramsour’s Mill was held in Lincolnton, North Carolina, at 6:30 p.m. on June 16, 2023, and 10:00 a.m. on June 17, 2023. Among the 125 people who attended these events was a large Color Guard contingent that included two Blue Ridge Color Guard members Steve Greene and John Boyd. Also, rendering honors was Regent Julia Greene, of the Rebecca Sevier Waddell Chapter of the DAR. Also, it was good to see all the North Carolina SAR Chapters and national representatives who were there paying their respects. The weather was just perfect for this Commemoration and for the firing of the muskets.

It is easy to see that the Blue Ridge Chapter is an active, energetic, busy chapter that is always looking for new members to help us reach our challenging goals for the recognition of the sacrifices our Patriots made for us to enjoy all the freedoms we have today.
