Chartered 21 April 1928 in Asheville, North Carolina, later became the Blue Ridge Chapter, is the oldest active Chapter in Western North Carolina.

On April 29, 2023, at 8 p.m. the Honor Flight for Veterans arrived at the Asheville Airport. The 200 veterans were greeted by about 500 enthusiastic citizens, music, and the Blue Ridge Chapter Color Guard all of whom were thanking them for their service to our country. Blue Ridge Chapter member Lt. Col. (Ret.) Larry Chapman sponsored Blue Ridge Chapter member Lance Dickinson for the Honor Flight. Lance was very grateful to Larry for his kind gesture.

Blue Ridge Chapter Color Guard members presenting Colors were Craig Issacson, Ken Welgarz, David Gunther, Garry Linton and Steve Greene . Some photos from the event are shown below:

It is easy to see that the Blue Ridge Chapter is an active, energetic, busy chapter that is always looking for new members to help us reach our challenging goals for the recognition of the sacrifices our Patriots made for us to enjoy all the freedoms we have today.
