Chartered 21 April 1928 in Asheville, North Carolina, later became the Blue Ridge Chapter, it is the oldest active Chapter in Western North Carolina.

On the 95 th anniversary of the founding of our chapter, the Blue Ridge Chapter Color Guard was on hand for the April 21, 2023, Naturalization Ceremony that was held at the Federal Courthouse in Asheville, North Carolina. In front of 40 friends and family members, the 30 new citizens administered the Oath of Citizenship. Blue Ridge Chapter Color Guard members Craig Issacson, Larry Chapman, Tom Rightmyer, Ken Welgarz and Garry Linton presented colors and were available for pictures with new citizens and their friends and family members.

It is easy to see that the Blue Ridge Chapter is an active, energetic, busy chapter that is always looking for new members to help us reach our challenging goals for the recognition of the sacrifices our Patriots made for us to enjoy all the freedoms we enjoy today.
