In a “Partner In Patriotism” event, the New Bern Chapter Color Guard presented “The Colors” at the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, New Bern Lodge No. 764 Flag Day Ceremony on Saturday, 11 June 2022, 1100, Union Point Park, New Bern, NC. Seven historical flags were highlighted and presented individually by the Color Guard during the hour-long ceremony commemorating National Flag Day. Members participating in the event pictured were (L to R): Jeff Perkins (w/National Ensign Flag); Bruce Martin (w/48 Star Flag); Color Guard Commander Bob Rigg (w/Star-Spangled Banner Flag); Aiden Skeens (w/New Bern Chapter Standard); Lee Purcell (w/Betsy Ross Flag); Bob Ainsley (w/Grand Union Flag); Rob Webster (w/Gadsden Flag); and Danny Hilton, Andrew Jackson Organizing Chapter (w/Washington Cruiser Flag). Other New Bern Chapter members attending the ceremony were Dr. Bob Mull and his wife Sally. Bobbi Webster, wife of Rob Webster and member of the Richard Dobbs Spaight Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, was in attendance, also. Over 100 people attended the ceremony.
