225th Anniversary Ceremony of Laurel Hill Presbyterian Church

On Saturday March 26 2022, Members of the Sandhills Chapter Compatriots, Color Guardsmen, and Daughters of the General Henry William Harrington DAR Chapter participated in the 225th Year Anniversary Church Ceremony of the founding of the Laurel Hill Presbyterian Church in Laurinburg, NC.

Mr. Matt Mutarelli – Veterans Arms LLC, (Montgomery CC Gunsmith Instructor) created an extensive 18th Century Weapons display tent and performed a weapons loading and firing demonstration of a Kentucky Long Rifle and Brown Bess rifle.

After The church ceremony, the Sandhills Chapter Compatriots met with many members of the Laurel Hill Church Congregation to discuss and distribute handouts about the History of the SAR, the SAR Purposes & Objects, and discussed family genealogy search methods that could lead to finding a Revolutionary War Patriot.
