On March 11, Rachel Webster of Troop 219 became her troop’s first Eagle Scout during an Eagle Board of Review held via Zoom in the Southern District of the East Carolina Council.  Rachel’s brother Joseph also achieved Eagle Scout at the same board.  Joseph and their father David Webster, Scoutmaster of Troop 1884, are both applying for SAR membership through the New Bern Chapter.  Members of the Eagle board were Chairman Jay DeLoach, NC Society Senior VP; and Ed Perkins and Ed Stinson, New Bern Chapter members and both recent recipients of the Robert E. Burt Boy Scout Volunteer Medal.  The fourth board member was Dobert Owsley who is also applying for membership in the SAR.
