On August 21st, Gary Gillette, of the New Bern Chapter of the NC Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), and also an American Legion member, presented a Flag Certificate to the American Legion, Post 539 of New Bern. The SAR Flag Certificate is presented to organizations and businesses, in recognition of their “Exemplary Patriotism in displaying the Flag of the United States of America”.
