First North Carolina Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. Chartered 21 April 1928 in Asheville, North Carolina, and later became the Blue Ridge Chapter.
The Blue Ridge Chapter Color Guard will present Colors at the Grave Marking Ceremony for Compatriot Padgett at the Cool Springs Cemetery, 382 W. Main St. in Forest City, NC.
All members are invited to attend this solemn ceremony to honor Compatriot Padgett.
It is easy to see that the Blue Ridge Chapter is an active, energetic, and busy chapter that is always looking for new members to help us reach our challenging goals for the recognition of the sacrifices our Patriots made for us to enjoy the freedoms we have today.

Main St., Forest City, NC. All chapter members are invited to attend this event.

The 246th Anniversary of the Signing of the Tryon Resolves is scheduled for:
Who: NC SAR Battle of Kings Mountain Chapter
When: Saturday, 14 August, 2021 starting at 10:30 a.m.
Where: Tryon Resolves Monument, Bessemer City NC (See direction below.)
What: Ceremony will consist of the following sequence of events:
· Call to order
· Invocation
· Short remarks regarding the significance of the event
· Reading of the “Tryon Resolves” and the names of the signers
· Recognition of participating organizations and representatives
· Benediction
· Closing
Directions to Tryon Resolves Monument: The marker is located between Bessemer City and Cherryville on the 2500 block of Tryon Courthouse Road (Highway 274). Heading north towards Cherryville the marker is on the left before the intersection with Tryon School Road. A North Carolina Highway Historical Marker for Tryon County (O-29) is next to the marker.
