The event will take place in the new Patriot Square located next to New Bern City Hall. That evening, for $32.00, There will also be a catered buffet, which will require preregistration and payment. The SAR New Bern Chapter, DAR Richard Dobbs Spaight Chapter, the North Carolina History Center and Tryon Palace Historic Site, St. Johns Masonic Lodge #3, the National Sojourners, Valley of New Bern Scottish Rite, and New Bern York Rite will host a ceremony in remembrance of the 71 Delegates and Resolves of America’s First Provincial Congress held in New Bern during 25-27 August 1774.
The event will be in person on:
Saturday, 22 August 2026: Check-in NC History Center, 8:00-9:00 a.m.
Line-up at 9:00 a.m. Procession starts at 9:30 a.m. Ceremony follows.

The Ceremony will begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. at the South Lawn of Tryon Palace, 529 South Front Street, New Bern, NC 28562.
There will be a STATIC ONLY (no color guard or Greetings/Wreath Presentation options) Zoom session for anyone wishing to view the procession and ceremony.
