Catawba Valley Chapter had the honor to stand as Color Guard as Lincolnton NC Mayor Ed Hatley presented Jacob Forney DAR Regent Barbara Stevens with a Proclamation in observance of Constitution Week at the City Council Meeting Thursday evening, September 2, 2021.
John Hoyle Chapter DAR of Hickory NC enjoyed their first luncheon meeting of the year on September 1st. Commissioner Barbara Beatty presented Whitney Cline, Chapter Regent with a proclamation for Constitution week! NC Sr. Vice President and Past President of Catawba Valley Chapter Jack Bowman portrayed their, Chapter namesake John Hoyle in a historic talk.
A special Thanks and a small Certificate of Appreciation went to Family Healthcare Practice Pllc, and Kim Cline FNP, in Conover NC, for graciously supporting Catawba Valley Chapter financially and morally for the past two years. On 14 August 2021 Catawba Valley Chapter had the honor to join with The Battle of King’s Mountain Chapter to celebrate the 246th anniversary of the Signing of the Tryon Resolves. There were 4 SAR and 4 DAR Chapters represented that day and The Battle of King’s Mountain Chapter inducted a new member. HAZZAH

Due to COVID restrictions, Lt Col Andrew Weatherstone USA (Ret), JROTC Instructor at Fred T Ford High School presented the SAR JROTC Bronze medal and certificate to Cadet Joshua Thao at their Awards Ceremony on 24 April 2021.
Catawba Valley Chapter was able to honor from a distance Cadet James Bevel at Lincolnton High School on April 29th, 2021 at their Annual Awards Program. The Bronze JROTC Medal and Certificate were presented by Lt Col Robin Sites, USAF (Ret), as only staff and parents were allowed to attend.
Catawba Valley Chapter continues their Patriots activities with members Chris Stone and Roy Lightfoot, joined by Fran Goins, past Regent of Jacob Forney DAR, Stephen McKee, past president of Meckleburg SAR and our current Regional VP along with his two children. A wonderful day was had even through the rain.
