  • Battle of Moore’s Creek

    New Bern Chapter President, Rolf Maris, attended and participated in the 241st anniversary of the Battle of Moore’s Creek.  SAR and DAR members from around the state of North Carolina marched to the monument to pay tribute to those who fought and defeated the British Tory’s, on February 27th.

    Mr. David Cook of Roanoke Rapids was recently awarded a Sons of the American Revolution Flag Certificate “In recognition of exemplary patriotism in the display of the Flag of the United States of America”.  The certificate was presented by Halifax Resolves Chapter VP R. J. Myrick.
