    Catawba Valley Chapter had the pleasure on September 25th to join other compatriots and historians in the 241st anniversary of the Overmountain Men crossing the Watauga River at Sycamore Shoals in Elizabethton TN in route to destiny at the Battle of kings Mountain. It was a wonderful day and the water was cold.
