The New Bern Chapter-SAR, Richard Dobbs Spaight Chapter-DAR, Christ Episcopal Church, North Carolina History Center at Tryon Palace, St. Johns Masonic Lodge #3 and the National Sojourners, Inc. invite all to join us for a commemoration ceremony to honor the 249th Anniversary Observance of the 1st North Carolina Provincial Congress and signing of the New Bern Resolves, which was held in New Bern during 25-27 August 1774.
The event will be in person, Saturday August 26th. Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. across the street from the Centenary United Methodist Church parking lot located next to the US District Court House at 413 Middle St, New Bern, NC 28560.
The event procession will begin at 9:45 a.m. at the Centenary United Methodist Church parking lot.
The Ceremony will begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. at the (outdoor) Colonial Chapel of Christ Episcopal Church, 320 Pollock Street New Bern NC, 28560.
There will be a STATIC ONLY (no color guard or Greetings/Wreath Presentation options) Zoom session for anyone wishing to view the procession and ceremony.

This special event will be held both virtually and in-person at the State Archives and State Library of North Carolina.
