Blue Ridge Chapter March 2026 Activity

Chartered 21 April 1928 in Asheville, North Carolina, it later became the Blue Ridge Chapter and is the oldest active Chapter in Western North Carolina.

On March 12, 2026, in at Abraham Kuykendall DAR meeting in Flat Rock, North Carolina, the NCSSAR Blue Ridge Chapter was presented with an America 250! Certificate of Commendation for their efforts to commemorate the Battle of Earl’s Ford and for the marking of the Patriots graves. NCSSAR compatriots Craig Issacson and Brett Callaway were presented with this prestigious award.

 

On March 19, 2026, at the Morganton Community House in Morganton, North Carolina, Compatriot Craig Issacson presented a program entitled: “Broken Links in the Chain: Critical Battles in the Carolina Backcountry” to 31 people at the Col. Alexander Erwin Chapter meeting. This interesting program was well-received by all members present.

It is easy to see that the Blue Ridge Chapter is an active, energetic, busy Chapter that is always looking for new members to help us reach our challenging goals for the recognition of the sacrifices our Patriots made for us to enjoy all the freedoms we have today.
