Chartered 21 April 1928 in Asheville, North Carolina, later became the Blue Ridge Chapter, and is the oldest active Chapter in Western North Carolina.

On September 7, 2024, at the Mars Hill University in Mars Hill, North Carolina, Blue Ridge Chapter Vice President and Color Guard Commander, Garry Linton provided an educational program on the Health and Disease during the American Revolution to the DAR Rebecca Sevier Waddell Chapter. The fifteen members in attendance were amazed to learn about this very interesting presentation.

On September 10, 2024, at the Veterans Restoration Quarters (Acts Building) in Asheville, North Carolina, Blue Ridge Chapter Vice President and Color Guard Commander, Garry Linton provided an educational program on the Health and Disease during the American Revolution to the DAR Edward Buncombe Chapter. His interesting presentation was well-received by the 20 members in attendance.

On September 17, 2024, at the Hendersonville Historic Courthouse in Hendersonville, North Carolina, the Color Guard of the Blue Ridge Chapter, of the Sons of the American Revolution presented the colors at the Constitution Day event that was organized by the DAR Chapters of Abraham Kuykendall and Joseph McDowell. Blue Ridge Color Guard in attendance were: Craig Issacson, Garry Linton, and Ken Weglarz. About 20 folks were on hand for this presentation.

On September 20, 2024, at the Federal Courthouse in Asheville, North Carolina, the Blue Ridge Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution presented the colors in the naturalization ceremony for 38 new United States citizens. Some of the countries these new citizens came from were Vietnam, El Salvador, Ukraine, Columbia, Belarus, China, Dominican Republic, France, Taiwan, Russia, Thailand, Costa Rica, Canada, India, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and New Zealand. To witness and cheer on these new United States citizens were about 70 family members and friends which completely filled this courtroom. Blue Ridge Color Guard members were Craig Issacson, Garry Linton, and Tom Rightmyer.

It is easy to see that the Blue Ridge Chapter is an active, energetic, busy Chapter that is always looking for new members to help us reach our challenging goals for the recognition of the sacrifices our Patriots made for us to enjoy all the freedoms we have today.
