Chartered 21 April 1928 in Asheville, North Carolina, it later became the Blue Ridge Chapter and is the oldest active Chapter in Western North Carolina.

On February 5, 2026, Blue Ridge Chapter Flag Certificate Chairman Mike Mills and Chapter President Garry Linton presented a SAR Flag Certificate, for the proper presentation of the American Flag, to the City of Hendersonville, North Carolina. About 20 people were present and gave a warm welcome for this presentation.

On February 13, 2026, Blue Ridge Past President Craig Issacson (dressed in Militia attire) provided a program on to the “Broken Links in the Chain: Critical Battles in the Carolina Backcountry” to the Ruth Davidson DAR Chapter in Asheville, North Carolina. The DAR Chapter awarded the Hanna White Amett Bronze Medal of Distinction to Compatriot Issacson for his inspiring and well-received program. About 25 people attended this event.

On February 23, 2026, at the Hendersonville, North Carolina Library, Blue Ridge Chapter President Garry Linton (dressed in Militia attire), presented a program on “George Washington, his Compatriots, and the Nascent American Revolution”. Blue Ridge Chapter Past President Craig Issacson assisted with the program and participated in answering the many questions the 24 people in attendance had asked.

It is easy to see that the Blue Ridge Chapter is an active, energetic, busy Chapter that is always looking for new members to help us reach our challenging goals for the recognition of the sacrifices our Patriots made for us to enjoy all the freedoms we have today.
