For those who don’t know (or don’t remember), North Carolina has an alternate FIRST IN FREEDOM license plate, that is yours for the asking (if you ask when you renew your registration).  It features the dates of the “Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence” and the Halifax Resolves.  This is especially appropriate as we approach the Nation’s 250^th Anniversary.

Details are on the DMV Website.  (You may have to be a bit insistent at your local License Plate Office… the renewal line may not have them, but the new registration line will).
