Blue Ridge Chapter Color Guard Activity January 2024

Chartered 21 April 1928 in Asheville, North Carolina, later became the Blue Ridge Chapter, and is the oldest active Chapter in Western North Carolina.

On January 17, 2024, Blue Ridge Chapter Color Guard members Craig Isaacson and Ken Welgarz presented colors at the 243rd Anniversary of the Battle of Cowpens in Cowpens, South Carolina.

On January 27, 2024, at 9 a.m. Blue Ridge Chapter Color Guard members Craig Isaacson and Garry Linton presented colors at the commemoration ceremony at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church for the Battle of Cowan’s Ford in Huntersville, North Carolina. Craig Isaacson rendered honors on behalf of  Region 5 of the NCSSAR as well as the Blue Ridge Chapter. Blue Ridge Chapter members on hand for this event were John Boyd and Lance Dickinson. About 100 people attended this event.

It is easy to see that the Blue Ridge Chapter is an active, energetic, busy chapter that is always looking for new members to help us reach our challenging goals for the recognition of the sacrifices our Patriots made for us to enjoy all the freedoms we have today.
