Catawba Valley Chapter was honored to assist Mecklenburg Chapter in the grave marking that they conducted for Patriot David Vance on 16 July 2022 at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Charllotte. Present for the commemoration was the 4th great grandson of Patriot Vance, Compatriot Robert Vance of Alto NM and member of Gadsden Chapter, NMSSAR. There were members of Mecklenburg, Catawba Valley, Salisbury, Battle of Kings Mountain and Gadsden chapters, SAR and Elizabeth Maxwell Steele chapter, DAR in attendance for this service.
