Re-enactors Compatriots Dr. Doug DeGroote, Gary O. Green and C. Gene Funderburk of the Lower Cape Fear Chapter SAR joined with The Stamp Defiance Chapter of the North Carolina Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution to force the resignation of Dr. William Houston, played by Jennifer Terry-Baker, during events commemorating the 250th anniversary of the rebellion in downtown Wilmington. Compatriot Sam Powell attended representing the National SAR Foundation.
