    This year's Annual Wreath Laying will Commemorate the 245th Anniversary of the Battle of Ramsour's Mill. Be sure to prepare for warm weather and bring a chair if you need one. When coming from the high school, go past the school to the parking lot and follow the signs for parking.

    Battle of Ramsour’s Mill Living History Weekend

    The Battle of Ramsour’s Mill Living History Weekend commemorates the June 20, 1780 Battle of Ramsour’s Mill, when Whigs met Tories on a hillside just outside the little town of Lincolnton.

    In 2025, the commemoration will take place the weekend of June 21 & 22 near Battleground Elementary School.

    In between, hearth cooking demonstrations by the Lincoln County Hearth Cooks, reenactments and weapons demonstrations, a militia encampment, speakers and storytellers, heritage demonstrations, battleground tours, and period crafts. All activities are free.
