The annual Patriot's Day Celebration, commemorating the Battles of Clapp Mill, Pyle's Defeat, and Lindley's Mill as well as the Battle of Alamance fought May 16, 1771. There will be living history programs, battlefield tours, musket firing demonstrations throughout the day as well as the annual commemorative ceremony for these three significant battles.

The NC SAR poster and brochure state level contest will be judged at the
Alamance Battleground visitor’s center at 12:00 Noon. Please bring posters and
brochures for judging at that time.

Participants in the 2:00 PM wreath laying ceremony are requested to arrive at the Patriots’ Monument by 1:30 PM. The NCSSAR combined Color Guard will lead the processional.  2026 - Patriots Day Invitation
