  • Wilmington Compatriot Grave Markings

    The Lower Cape Fear Chapter will be conducting compatriot grave markings for three former North Carolina Society State Presidents:

    1971-1972 * Capt. Robert Strickland Beckham- Lower Cape Fear, Wilmington National Cemetery, NC
    1981-1983 * The Rev. Walser H. Allen, Jr.-Lower Cape Fear-Oleander Memorial Gardens, Wilmington, NC
    1991-1993 * CDR Lee Warwick Porter, Jr., USN (Ret)-Lower Cape Fear-1st Baptist Church, Wilmington, NC

    The ceremonies will be consecutive and will start at the 1st Baptist Church of Wilmington at 9:30 AM.  The participants will carpool/caravan to the Wilmington National Cemetery and then to Oleander Memorial Gardens.

    The chapter will then reconvene at The Olympia Restaurant to eat and conduct chapter business at 11:30 AM

    Donations will be accepted, make checks payable to LCF Chapter – NC SAR, and mail to:
