The New Bern Chapter of the NC SAR, is a Bronze Level Sponsor of the upcoming “Stars and Stripes” benefit show, scheduled for Sept 14th at 7:30 p.m. at Grover C. Fields Performing Arts Center, 2000 Dr. M.L.K. Blvd.  The Stars & Stripes event is a night of musical entertainment, to benefit the Whitehurst-Ware American Legion Post No. 539 in New Bern, and to celebrate the American Legion’s 100th birthday.  The New Bern Chapter’s donation will be used to purchase tickets for local active duty military to attend the event.  All proceeds from the event will go to Post 539’s JROTC Scholarships program!
