The New Bern Chapter of the NC Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) awarded the SAR Chapter Outstanding Eagle Scout medal and a check for $100 to Eagle Scout Nicholas Potter of Troop 13. Nicholas will go on to compete at the state level in the Arthur M. & Berdena King Eagle Scout Contest where the first place winner receives a handsome Eagle Trophy, $750 cash award, and a chance to compete for the top national award of a $10,000 scholarship.
