On 24 May, four members of the New Bern Chapter performed an American Flag ceremony and presentation to the Way Way family during a Habitat for Humanity house dedication in New Bern. Rolf Maris, Chapter President, beat the drum in Revolutionary War attire while flag bearer, Lee Purcell, presented the flag and a copy of the US Constitution to the proud family. Chapter members then led the attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance. The New Bern Chapter will continue their association with Habitat for Humanity and present American Flags, along with copies of the US Constitution, to all new home owners in the future.
