Across the country, on Mar 29^th, the Department of Veteran Affairs, National Acquisition Center (NAC) recognized, honored and thanked our Vietnam Era Veterans and their families during our Nation’s commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War.  Gary Gillette, Vice President & Registrar of the New Bern SAR Chapter, and also Vice President of the New Bern Chapter 886, Vietnam Veterans of America Assoc, attended the event hosted by the New Bern National Cemetery.  Over 30 Vietnam veterans were honored.  At the end of the ceremony, each Vietnam veteran was presented with a commemorative pin honoring his/her Vietnam service.
