Chaloner Middle School eighth graders recently hosted local SAR member Ken Wilson who presented a program entitled “From Mecklenburg to Halifax”. This presentation covered a period in North Carolina history from the creation of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence to the adoption of the Halifax Resolves.  Eighth grade Social Studies teachers, Mr. James Rook, Mrs. Peggy Braswell and Mrs. Paige Lamberson, each received three American History DVD’s produced by the National Society Sons of the American Revolution for use as teaching aids.
