The Halifax Resolves Chapter hosted members of the NC SAR Combined Color Guard for the Christmas Parade in Roanoke Rapids.  Following a lunch at Ralph’s BBQ, the color guard led the Christmas Parade for the 7th consecutive year.  Members participating were SAR Foundation President Dr. Samuel C. Powell, NC SAR Sr. VP/Color Guard Commander Lt. Col. Gary Green (USAF ret.) NC SAR Past Presidents John Thornhill & Steve Pittard, HRC President Ken Wilson, HRC Sec.-Treas. Steve Avent, HRC Chaplain Rev. Duncan Jones, HRC Past Pres. Geoff Pittard along with his children Marcus and Ilylana, Lower Cape Fear Chapter VP Gene Funderburk and General George Washington Chapter Color Guard Commander Kenny Smith.
